Summary

ROC) is planning to supply food baskets to 2000 children and their families supported by elderly people with chronic diseases, who are the most susceptible to Covid-19, which will adversely reflect on the children them with hygiene materials and protective masks and educate the families on the threats and preventive measures to avoid transmission of the pandemic.

Challenge

Yemen has been suffering from the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, the most prominent of which is the widespread hunger, the collapse of the health systems which weakened the to confront diseases and epidemics due to the lack of qualified staff, equipment and medicines, the elderly people who support children suffer from chronic diseases, poverty making them unable to meet their daily basic needs that are crucial for their survival.The situation was exacerbated by the outbreak of COVID-19

Solution

Provision of the children and their elderly-headed families with the food baskets, supplementary nutrients and protective materials will strengthen their immune system and protect them with the rapidly spreading COVID-19.

Long-Term Impact

The project will alleviate the suffering of children and their families, reduce infection rates and contribute to improving their overall health.
