Activity: Five days of training of 12 members of the water management committee in the two target sub-districts

Improving access to safe drinking water and hygiene knowledge for two sub-districts in Taiz governorate

Activity: Five days of training of 12 members of the water management committee in the two target sub-districts on management, accounting, operation, and maintenance of the water project. A water management committee established by the General Authority for Rural Water Supply Projects (GARWSP) consists of 6 members (chairman of the committee, general secretary, financial officer, monitoring and inspection, and two operators) to ensure the continuation periodic maintenance of the project. The participants will be trained for five days in accounting to improve their financial and administrative capacities and ultimately improve project management. Besides, they will be trained in the operational mechanisms and maintenance of the solar system and the water network’s repair and maintenance. The project will purchase water network maintenance kits and deliver them to each of the project management. This will contribute to prolonging the life span of the system and preserving the public property and its acceptable use
