On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, the organization organized a virtual press conference to publicize the social media platforms for the influential women who were trained in the content creation course within the media influence project for women in relief, recovery and peace operations funded by the Generations Balakat organization.
Prominent Arab and local personalities participated in the event, most notably the journalist, poet and writer responsible for the Yemen file in Al-Jazeera channel, Mr. Ahmed Al-Shalfi, who spoke at length on the topic of the role of modern media (social media) in creating societal influence and comparing that to the role of traditional media.
The gender expert in the Arab world, writer, Dr. Amani Abu Rahma – Gaza, Palestine, on the topic of the role of modern Arab women in digital and literary writings in advocating for women’s issues and combating societal violence and discrimination that they are exposed to,,
The young Yemeni YouTuber, Akram Al-Fahd, also presented his inspiring experience in this field.
He explained the nature of the role that influential women and girls on social media can play and their ability to influence society, especially among influential women and girls,
